London Business School’s Information Security Resource
Let’s Be Secure
Helping you to keep the School safe
This site provides news, information, guidance and recommendations on how to keep you safe and secure online. Information that we provide here is equally relevant to both a work and a home environment: keeping you safe and secure at work helps you stay safe at home, and vice versa.
We hope that you find it helpful.
Always use a unique password
Using a unique password protects you when that site is compromised. Use a password manager if you can; use three random words if you cannot.
Update software
Update or apply patches to software when advised. Out-of-date software, which contains vulnerabilities for which patches are available, is the most common route in for attackers to break in.
Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA / 2FA)
Please enable Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) on any service where it’s available. This is particularly important on banking.
